Diabetes Care
Caring for your diabetes is extremely important. It's easy to get discouraged
when things don't go right and its easy to get tired of having to care for it.
Many times, there can be days when you just wish to give up. Many people will
look to their friends, family or healthy care team for motivation. While it is
helpful getting inspiration from the people you care about the best motivation
comes from within.
Here are some things to help keep you motivated. Set Goals. Choose a goal that you want to reach and then smaller steps you can do each day on your way to your goals. If you cannot make a step, don't think of it as a failure. Instead, choose a new step to try.
Believe in yourself. It has been shown that people who believe that they can do something are more likely to be successful.
And most importantly, change how you think. The way you think about a situation affects both your feelings and how you act. Do you think of diabetes as a burden, a problem or a challenge? You can't make your diabetes go away, but you can choose to think about it
differently.
